Diesel Kleen + Biodiesel

Hello All,

I have recently started using Diesel Kleen from Power Service in my last several tanks of regular diesel fuel. I like the difference that I have noticed (either real or imagined). I will be filling up with bioWillie on a trip to Waco in a couple of days.

Can I / should I continue to use Diesel Kleen if I move over to biodiesel?

You wont need to. I had asked previously about stanadyne and got the not needed answer. I have run BioWillie and now run some other at closer to 100%. It will clean your system and has plenty of lubrication in it naturally so additives are not necessary.

You are going to love bio.

If your are running B100, no need for stanadyne or power service.

If blending with diesel, you will get some cold weather benefits from additives, but the biodisel is a better fuel system cleaner.

I can understand why Stanadyne is not need for lubricity with B-100, but what about using it during the winter to help fight gelling and lowering the pour point? This next winter I'd rather put Stanadyne in my tank than a small amount #2 but don't know if it's compatible with B-100.

I just put in a call to Stanadyne customer support (800-842-2496) and will get a call back with the answer.

Stanadyne said that their product is compatable with up to a B-20 blend. I'm so glad I have 2 unopened 1/2 gallons of a product I will no longer need or use. NOT! -mad

That is probably just a standard answer. I have two jars of B80 I made from lard in the fridge. One has power service and one does not. The one without is hard, the one with is partly runny. Obviously the anti gel has some effect in a B80 blend, just not as much as desired.

I haven't tried it in B100 but I'm told that doesn't work...

You'll have to blend in cold weather anyway, so don't toss out that stanadyne.

I should try it with some B-100 in my fridge in a sealed glass jar and see for myself.

Stanadyne does not have an expiration date! I will keep it on hand.

I'll try B100 with the power service tonite too. Be interesting to see what happens. The B80 BTW about a third is runny, the rest hard

If memory serves 200ml in a jar gets 1/2 to 1 ml additive, but check the label
