Door switch pass. side?

I have a faulty passenger side door ajar switch and was wondering if it is a plug-n-play repair. The switch registers when the door is opened, but never senses it closes.
Any insight?

try spraying some wd-40 in there and open it and close it 4 or 5 times it worked for me

This is happening on one of my doors too...door ajar idiot light stays on.
I can't even find the switch. I am looking for a contact switch but no luck. I have the WD40, where to shoot ??

under the latch. had to do the same thing, the dome light stayed on all night, I really kinda hate the delayed shut off on the dome lights, I expected it to shut off. it didn't, can we say jumper cables?
