Seems to me like my yoke (front of the driveshaft) is binding up to the output shaft of the trans when I stop then unbind when I take off again. Sounds like a thump. I believe there was a TSB on this. Ford calls for a special lubricant on the yoke. What could I use besides what ford calls for? Anti sieze or what? Thanks

All that I have ever used is a good quality grease and never had any problems. The thicker the grease the longer it seems to last. Just make sure that the splines are really clean and the yoke slides freely before you add a lubricant. Donot use anti-sieze since it is an abrasive. Sil-glide brake caliper pin lubricant will also work well since it is a silicone based grease.

Not locked in 4x mode. I was able to spin the driveshaft once unbolted from the rear diff. Of course it was in neutral
