We got up early 0300.
hit the raod heade for Texas , stopped at a few rest areas to walk the dog and such.
This must have been teh resident alien migration weekend
i saw no less than five sets of vehicles like pictured below.
good thing he was now behind me.
this was in Mississippi, saw one in La and tX as well.
yep its a van pulling an explorer, pulling a ford windstar on a tow dolly

I can't believe that sort of thing is legal in any state. I'd bet that fewer than 50% of states allow such a towing configuration.

I allways thought those guys were buying used cars at auto auctions or at salvage yards. Most of the ones I see are really junk. Those might be some cars that were flooded after Katrina. Hope they keep going to Mexiceo with them..

there was another one close to it in tullalhuh (spelling) lousianna that very afternoon. and we passed a caravan of resident alien , documented workers
with trucks and cars loaded to the gills all had indianna plates.
maybe it was a pilgrimige to mecca

I see that type of caravan at least once a month. I always see them coming from Denver when I go to the mountains. They usually are going to Mexico with them. Denver auto auction and Oklahoma City Auto auction are popluar venues for the exporters of our used cars.

If you think what you see is junk, you should see some of the vehicles in Mexico. We had one guy interested in our IH bobtail truck, we finally sold it. He'd come by about every 2 months with a caravan like in the picture begging us to buy it. The truck was a 50 something model, they drove it down south. From what the guy told my dad it's still in service down there, we sold it to them about 10 years ago.
