I was wondering if the XLT model has the wiring for lighted visors like in the Lariat. I want to put lighted visors in and thought wires could be capped off . I noticed my XLT has wires for electric seats under my manual seats. Also I wondered if anyone has mounted a grab handle for the driver side like in later model superduty's. I have a 2002 crewcab XLT

I doubt it. Ford adds extra harnesses for that sort of thing. Just like the wiring for the clearance lights needs to be added. It is a plug in affair.

like Dave said it is likely that the wires are not just tucked behind the headliner but more likely that you'll need a section of wiring harness and a relay, that could plug into someplace like one of the kick panels and then it would become plug and play. It is one of those things that becomes much easier to figure out with wiring diagrams in hand but time and an exploratory spirit can overcome the lack of diagrams. Oh and a junk yard that will let you on the yard can help tremendously too, :( however yards like this are becoming more and more rare, at least in this part of the country :cussing:
