Hello - for those of you that have replaced your EGR Cooler (2004), did you find the re-install easier if you connected the Cooler to the turbo pipe with the v-clamp first then dropped the intake over it, OR connect the cooler to the intake and put them both in together. Any hints would be appreciated - EGR Cooler is arriving tomorrow! Thanks in advance....

I have not done this myself, but the Ford Service DVD says to remove the intake manifold and install it that way. No mention of the turbo.

The actual turbo comes off much earlier in the process - what I'm wondering is if it's easier to attach the EGR cooler to the intake manifold and try to lay them in together, or attach the EGR cooler rear to the exhaust tube that goes into the turbo and THEN lay the Intake manifold on top of both parts. Thanks again and wish me luck....
