I am contemplating exorcising the EGR on my truck. It is not really conducive to how I have to drive it, with long term idling, and such. I am debating to doing the blockoff, against the actual delete. Mind you, I am lazy and want the cheapest and easiest way to do it. Are there benefits that the actual delete will get that the block off will not get?

Some will argue that a full delete is the only solution. Results will vary from truck to truck. A full delete will remove any chance of getting coolant into the intake.

I say mod the up-pipe with a welded in piece of steel and see what the results occur. If it helps then be happy!

There are block off plugs available that totally prevent the coolant from going in. That is what I am thinking of, and may do, just to see if it works.
