Hey all. I'm new to the forum. Has anyone ever installed an electric fan on a 6.0L. F250 Super Duty. I'm thinking of replacing the engine driven fan for increased power and mileage. Just want to make sure I don't cook the motor in the process. Flexalite claims to increase power by 28HP and mileage by 6 percent.
Thanks Dee

The will not move enough air to keep your truck cool, especially if you ever sit at a stop light or tow anything. The cooling system works so well that as long as you're moving the stock fan doesn't even come on. My vote is that it's not worth the money.

Electric cooling fans work, I know several folks that are running them on the 7.3L PSD. As far as the HP increase claims, I wont comment.

The stock system works. IMHO it's not worth the effort to rip out the stock cooling system to put in an electric system.

The fan hardly engages on my truck, unless I'm towing the fiver. Then you KNOW the fan is working, as it sounds like you're being powered by a jet engine.
