James, I don`t recall the test results-it has been nearly 2years ago. I just lived with it and never went over 2200 in 1st gear-bout drove me nuts for a while. Concerning the modded IDM, it is not that difficult if you have some experience soldering and are VERY careful . There are several threads on the subject. You might have to go to the other site(TDS) and do a search.

94f450sd, as he was one of the first to do the DIY 
IDM MOD on this site. I know the IDM mod helped me out, although by accident. Possibly the extra juice to the injectors made the difference?????????????
