Hi folks, new to the site. I have an oldie but goodie 2001 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab with 6-spd ZF and 7.3. Have done a few modifications that really helped such as TS 6-position chip, cold air kit, Walker big truck straight thru muffler and pillar gauge package with exhaust temp, boost meter, and rear differential temp gauge. I've worked it hard pulling generators all over eastern seaboard responding to cell tower outages during hurricanes/disasters and this year first time subcontract hauling for Christmas tree farm. What do I like the most about her? The 7.3 and changing gears with the six speed tranny. There's just that sound of the turbo spooling up in each gear and holding it there just before shifting that is a divine experience. Anyway, wanted to say hello and I have some serious questions I will post about changing it from 4x2 to 4x4 and what methods have worked for you guys who have tackled the task.
