:turboWhat is the temperature difference between having the probe in the manifold or in the downpipe, just below the turbo. Mine is in the manifold and I run anywhere between 800-1100. My buddy has his on the downpipe and reads about 600-800 degrees. Trucks are set up a little different but similiar. Have hearde from other sites that it is about 300 degree difference. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know what the exact number difference is but... i do know that by the time you get a reading post-turbo (downpipe) the damage probability is significantly higher.... you did yours the right way... tell him to be vary cautious.. and you keep yours under 1250... it doesn't hurt to go over for a few seconds at a time but don't stay there long...

welcom to the site!!!

X2..... And I've also heard from many past posts that 300 deg.'s difference is the general concensus.
