Exhaust leak

I started the truck up a couple days ago and noticed that the engine noise was a bit louder than usual. The idle was also a little rough and it stumbled a bit starting out. On inspection I did notice a little black soot below the collar on the up pipe on the drivers side. Looks like I'm in for a bit of a job but aleast my pesky oil leak at the turbo pedestal will get taken care of. Question is would the exhaust leak cause the idle to be rough and stumble or am I looking for something else?

I see you are somewhat close to me, so I am getting very close temperatures as you are. It is not cold enough to have idle problems due to our temps (low of 43° F). If it was closer to freezing I would suspect the temps causing a rough idle. The exhaust leak would not effect the idle roughness. Have you changed your fuel filter recently? Turn off your DP Tuner and see if it is still rough.

Dave :)
