The 99's had a Cat on the DP I believe. THe 00-03 7.3's did not have a Cat. The 03 6.0's on had cats.

What year was the Chevy Duramax? Pre 04?

Some 7.3's had them, its hit and miss but about 30-40% did...

Maintain....What are the regulations in MD so cats? How would someone know to check for a cat by a visual test if some vehicles have them and some don't? Also If you gut the cat, there isn't a way for emissions to figure that out?

They check for stuff on diesels but they will still pass with the cat gone, I have had a 6.0 pass a test in CO with a 90hp tow tune installed and no cat...
