I'm new here but have gleaned a lot of info from you guys. I've built gas burners and it looks like now I'll learn oil burners.
This old man just got had. Purchased from Nations Warranty Group out of Marietta Ga an extended power train warranty. Not cheap either. Now my truck wont start; the dealer says the FICM has gone bad. And, you guessed it, that part is not covered. Lawyers say there is nothing that can be done, legally. Pass this info out if anybody ask maybe I can keep somebody else from getting clipped.
Love my truck so I'll have to pay. See you guys in the forums, for now.

You need to read the coverages and exclusions, carefully, on one of those types of warranties. You would have had no idea the FICM would die when you bought it.

Yea extended warranties are a big waste of money. I got riped off one time and will never ever buy another one. I keep a small fortune in the bank and call it the "unexpected opp's fund"
