f250 with 295/75/16 or 255/85/16?

Will this tires fit? My truck is a 97 f250 4X4.

I don't think you would have any problems fitting either of those tire sizes. The OBS trucks have more room in the wheel wells than the newer trucks. I would go with 295's.

265/75R16 - 31.6" tall
295/75R16 - 33.4" tall
255/85R16 - 33.1" tall

i was running 255/85r16 before i did my dada 60 swap. the only issue i had was slight rubbing on the bumper during turns while braking. i didn't trim the bumper though. 295s may be too wide to fit on stock rims though.

My truck has 285s on it the only thing I had to do was shim out the front bumper a little bit...

Before we traded it in on the Excursion we had a 95' Bronco with a 4" lift. The lift brought it to the exact same height as my stock 96' F350. In the winter we ran 255/85/16 BGF Mud-terrains siped and studded, in the summer we ran 295/75/16 BFG All-terrains. Both of these tires fit just fine with plenty of clearance. You may have to shim your front bumper out a bit with the 295 but the 255 will fit with no issues. If you want a wider tire with no rubbing you might look at a 285/75/16 as they are a little shorter and a little narrower than a 295.

What are you planning on using the truck for? For snow/ice/rain you would probably find the 10 inch wide 255 to do a better job but if you are needing stability or flotation the 11.6 inch wide 295 would be nice. I really like the 255 size - Tall and Narrow

255/85/16 - 33.1x10/16
295/75/16 - 33.4x11.6/16
285/75/16 = 32.8x11.2/16

For towing you might find the wider tire to be a little more stable. Tall narrow tires have a bit more horizontal sway.
