Question F350 super duty transmission problems

Having transmission problems with my F350. Started with transmission shifting and slipping problems in drive. When I went to reverse after a few feet it would lock up and then back to drive it would continue to slip and not shift right. Has anyone else had this problem?

2001 F350 diesel 4x4 two days after this happened I drove it and everything seemed to work fine,

He might have the dreaded "diode" tranny. Sure would like to know.

The 01 diode issue kills second gear.


Mine made some really cool sounds when it quit.
