The one I attended with the Plano Texas club is held each year at one of our city parks. The pavilion is quite large and is more than suitable for the clubs needs,there's a large playground for the kids and a separate building the contains restrooms.

It's annual event held nation and worldwide over one weekend to where we all make as many contacts as possible on Amateur Radio Bands. It's alot of fun for everyone,even those that don't have their licenses yet

We use the local parks as well..........

Field day is held annually at this time of year to practice emergency communications skills while working with off grid power. To make it fun all the ham radio clubs across the nation compete in a contest to see who can get the most contacts/points. We had three towers up with 10m, 20m and 40m beam antennas. Also strung up some mutli band G5RV and 80m dipoles.
