They are all correct, I brew my own in my garage. It cost me about $450 to build my processor. When I filled the truck on Thursday, I broke even on my investment! It takes me about 3 hours per 35 gallon batch. Right now I am making one batch a week but will move to two soon(we're thinking about getting rid of a Windstar and buying an X) For more information, check out the "bio diesel links" thread or just ask.

Sagebel,

I haven't looked around in the Bio area much so if there is a quick link or something like that just point me to it...

But, what kind of setup do you have? Where do you get you oil? are you using used oil?

3 hrs seems really quick from what I had read before. Are there new procedures for making this stuff?... I though it was like a couple of days to get it done.

Sorry for all the questions... I have talked about doing this for a while now and just haven't been able to get around to it.

I am using an "appleseed processor". It is a 50 gallon water heater withthe dip tubes and upper element removed. I bought it used for $20. I get my used oil from a couple local bars/restaurants. They are all on my way home from work. The 3 to 4 hours is my labor. The entire process takes about 3 days. One day of brewing and two days of washing.

Check out the entire site and if you decide to start brew'n or want more info, order girl_marks book. If you have any more questions, just ask.
