First Oil/Filter cahnge??

I'm getting ready to do my first oil/filter change on my 6.0.

Any tips, tricks, do's, and dont's.

Use a good 15w40 CI-4++ DELO 400, Rotella T, make sure it has a high amount of anti foaming agent in it. Don't use synthetic until the rings are seated properly.
You'll be amazed at how well the top loader filter works.
Check out www.bobistheoilguy.com and you'll have more oil info than you could shake a stick at.

And bring $$$$$$ money. 14 quarts of oil and that top loading filter aren't cheap! Dealerships get $75-$90 with the "multi-point inspection" they throw in. The only saving grace about having the dealer do the work is that it all gets documented in the great big Ford computer in the sky (or Dearborn) I can go to myFord.com and my complete service history for my truck, including all warranty work, is on file.

Hey Dave, I ordered it this morning, I loved it on my '95!! Made for much cleaner changes.
