I've recently installed new headlight housings with retrofit projectors and hid's. I am looking to replace my stock fog light housings because they are quite faded and i would like to maximize my light output as well. I already have some HIR bulbs waiting to be installed. Im looking for any suggestions on fog lights.

I ran across these projector style OEM style replacements. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0043...qid=1380725951&sr=8-64&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

    And then theres these:

What do you guys think about these? Any advantages to having a yellow fog lense? I know the more yellow the light, the better it cuts through fog, but not sure if the lense will help with that.

Weird... about 70% of my previous post disappeared. So I had to delete the rest of it, because the truncated version didn't make sense.

Long story short: Two other options to add to your list of considerations include PIAA 410 (driving) and RIGID Industries square housing LED Dually and Dually D2 with HD brackets, in 4 lamp or 6 lamp (still square) configurations in wide, flood, spot, or driving beam patterns, with white or amber LEDs, and any number of color lens covers.

I saw your other post before it was deleted. Halarious by the way. I ended up purchasing a set of tyc OEM style fogs to replace my faded stockers. I wanted to retain my fogs instead of going with driving lights because with me being in the military, I may end up some where with fog in the future. Plus i had already purchased some HIR bulbs tha fit the stock housing and the OEM replacenments were very affordable. Thanks for the replies. I'll throw a picture up here later tonight to show the new set.

I am very happy with the over all result. I installed the HIR bulbs in the new fog housing and they are almost as bright as my stock headlights before switching them to HID's. lol!!

Yellow light doesnt cut through fog more than white light. In fact, it is dimmer and cuts through less. The reason some people use yellow is because the fog doesnt reflect the yellow light back at you as much. Its the same reason youre not supposed to use high beams in fog, more light reflecting back at you.

I personally cant stand yellow fog lights. The point of fog lights is to see further. Thats why fog lights are low. The light is designed to skirt along the ground and light it up. Yellow light does that but not as far... So... Whats the point?

Anyway... get a set of those (white) with the halo lenses, that seems to be the look you want. But for the best light output go with something LED. You can take your factory fog lights off and mount some LED lights on the bracket.

I have a sponsorship with an LED light company and their lights are great. If you're interested in a set of their 2x2 lights (like a Rigid Dually) send me a PM and I'll give you their contact info.
