How involved is it to pull the VGT Turbo? Is it worth pulling it and cleaning it to help with sticking vanes?

It is not hard, on a general scale. Get a DVD or book on your truck. This will show you how to dismantle the turbo and the install. www.helminc.com is what I have; not cheap, but what is your truck worth?

Dave,

So many options. Should I be looking for the Workshop manual? or something else?

Manual is listed for $185 which I think is worth it if it gives me do's and don't for service repairs.

Do you have a manual or CD? CD looks interesting....

That is what I got, the Workshop Manual. I have the DVD, but the printed manual is better for garage use. I won't take my laptop out to the garage. They die too easily.

I also bought my manuals from Helm. The shop manual has two very thick books and I also purchased the Wiring Diagrams book. They are a truly invaluable tool.
