I AM REPAIRING F350 1990 7.3 D E4OD TRANS
I AM NOT ABLE TO SOLVE A PROBLEM.
THE VEHICLE IN LOW (1) MANUAL AND DRIVE (D) ALWAYS STARTS TO MOVE IN HIGHER SHIFT.
CAN YOU HELP ME, PLEASE.

check the adjustment, make sure its actually in the gear you think it is. if its in "2", it will lock into 2nd instead of first even when stopped.

THANK YOU,BUT I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR WITHOUT SUCCESS. I TRIED ALSO TO CHANGE VALVE BODY ASSY.

The E4OD is a ticking time bomb. That bites. I went through 3 of them in my 7.3 IDI and then it went up in flames. Don't know if it was electrical or the Mexicans in the hood I pissed off and they get bak at you by screwin w/ur sh!t. I'm sure you know what your doin, but mabey low fluid and is it the correct fluid.

i really hope he was able to fix this and get it out of the shop....back in AUGUST.
