A guy has front leafs off an '04 super duty, 6mths. used, for $75. I have only a finger clearance between my bump stop and leaf right now on my '01 X....feeling the bumps on the road. Rears seem okay with much more clearance and can still fit in the garage...1 inch...

Is it a swap? I don't know the code on the guy's springs...I should ask.

Thanks.

I would say as long as the springs are of a higher rating, go for it. I nice swap.

Here is a link to do it.

For the Excursion I recommend the "V" codes at the minimum so if in the future you add a heavier bumper or other accessories on the front end.

Scroll a little more than halfway down in this Article for the spring location on the white door label and it'll also show the weight capacity of each spring code.

I have V codes on our X;tu

$75 is a good deal for a set of V or higher codes especially low miles.
