While greasing up some stuff under my truck, I noticed that I have a front sway bar bushing that's torn and destroyed. I hope that's the source of my annoying squeak.

So -- I'm looking for a new bushing.

JOAT's parts list shows this:

(Energy Suspension) 4-5106 (front sway arm; polyurethane)

That's what I'm looking at. Is Ford's equiv. any better/worse?

About installation, I don't need to jack up the truck to fix those, just unbolt and replace?

I have Energy poly throughout my truck. The sway bar bushings come as a complete set. They are great. Also the track bar bushings are awesome too. They last forever and are less expensive than Ford.

factory bushings are JUNK <rubber> the polly bushings from energy
suspension will provide a better ride...but make SURE you grease 'em
a bit so they dont squeek.

you can get the Energy Suspension bushings from JEGS.com or
SUMMITRACING.com mine were about 34 bucks last november.

you dont have to jack up the truck to change 'em...but pay attn
to the way the drop links are mounted (so you can get 'em back
w/out confusing top from bottom or right from left)

you MAY have to press the torn bushing out...my OE bushings
were rubber too but had a THIN metal collar around 'em...the
bushing tore out and left the collar behind in the drop link.
