Got it fixed, again! Sorry I didn't take pics I was in a hurry. The float arm is clipped to a piece of plastic that has 2 copper contact tabs. One tab slides on a metal bracket (ground, pink wire) and the other slides on the circiut board for the sender (yellow/white wire). The float arm had some play in it an the tabs were pinched in slightly causing one or both copper contact to not touch there respective surfaces at all times. I bent the contacts outward (careful, they're very thin) and put a small tie wrap on the plastic piece that the float arm clips to, to keep it in an outward position and eleminate the slop. This is from a truck that was a gasser so the diesel wiring might be a little different. I was going to get a new sender but it's $140 for the 38 gallon tank. Hopefully this can save people a few bucks
