Fuel Injector Computer Module........where

do I look for one? Seems that was the problem on my truck. Put a temporary one on (belongs to fellow that works on my truck), truck started right up so I have to get my own. Had somebody mention "rebuilt" but not so sure I want to go that route. Thanks in advance.

You may have to forgive my ignorance, but I don't think the 7.3's have FICMs...what you're probably looking for is the IDM? You say you tried a friends out, where was this unit you replaced located at?

I believe FICM is the "technical term" for IDM and yes indeed the 7.3s do have them. The box is located on the driver's side up under the wheel well. Got the bad one sitting down in the garage. Good to hear the hum of that diesel engine again........
