No, you cant turn up the fuel pump, its a volumetric unit that puts out "X" (we seem to be agreeing on 50 gpH) and that is actually FAR more than the engine can consume so thats why there is a return line to the tank, the excess unused fuel goes back.

HEATED fuel returned to the tank! A big advantage over SD dead head system. Really helps when running Biodiesel blends in the winter.
