Hey,
Still on the hunt for a used PSD. Is the FX4 pkg just shocks? Should I even care if it has it or not? I'd probably end up going with Bilsteins anyways.

two (boardering on cheezy) skid plates, one under the PLASTIC
fuel tank & one under the transfer case.

and some shocks that LOOK like good quality rancho's...but they arent
at all...theyre FORD shocks painted white w/ a sticker placed on 'em...
the red "shock boot" cover isnt even rebber...its hard plastic & completely
open on the big end (so its doing nothing of functional benefit either).

i 'spose the FX4 package is worth it for the gas tank skid plate alone
but for the most part its marketing BS. (i pulled the fx4 stickers off the
bed of my truck 15min. after it was in my drive way).

i can also add that when i was looking at two trucks, (the day i bought the red one over the white one) the white one was an FX4 - it also had upgraded 6way power seats along w/ the above mentioned plates.

maybe i should have gotten the white one...:roflmao

the key work is BRANDED shocks ;)

Albin - there might have been changes in the offering depending on
the year (hell even mid year changes exist).

many of us who bought 04's were not happy to learn (the hardway) about
some of the changes (an at best they were hit & miss in the items
that are deleted initially...):

NO-> glove box light, door courtesy lights, rear fender liners,
or hood insulation/blankets.

it got worse in 05, they started making the block heater CORD an
OPTION (the heater is there, just no CORD)

hey bush, i have the glove box light on mine, but no courtesy lights.

mine also has the rear fender liners and the hood blanket, mine also has the block heater and the cord.

i think there is about 7 months diff. between your build date and mine.

there is a sponser on here that carries stainless steel rear fender liners, but i forgot who.
