Ive got 4.10's in mine and it pulls like SOB. its all about how much you intend to pull. Diesels do have plenty of power but the gears can give you the extra low end torque to help out the turbo get goin up to speed

I've pulled with 4;10 and 3:73 and wouldnt want any lower. I have pulled in the mountains as well. Just kick out the overdrive and you should be good to go.
I would think the highway gear would help you more when needed, than the lower gear would help unless you are in steep grades a bunch.

With 37's and 3.73 gears,

Your Final Drive Ratio is around 3.18.

To get closer to your stock ratio of 3.73, You would need to go to 4.56 gears.

Just FYI ;)

i go camping mainly in the mountians and i go from about 1000 in elevation of about 6500-7000 in elevation where i go 2hrs away so i has some decent climbs but i also use my truck everday for a work truck so do you guys think i should leave the 3:73 and not waste my money and go to a 4:56

I think unless you are Pulling ALOT, it just wouldn't be worth the money to get it done.

$1500 installed for a front and rear master kit. I ran the 3.73' with my 37's and it was a turd. I went to the 4.56's and love them. The again I don't run down the road at 80 mph's but at 70mph I'm looking like 2250 - 2300 rpms without a tow load. I'm a red light to redlight kind of guy and the 4.56's worked perfect for me.
