Glow Plug Trouble 0 degree weather!!

so the ground that goes to the relay is the one that trips to shut off the glow plugs? What controls that? Computer?

when the computer trips the ground, it will turn on the glow plugs, and the time it is on is controlled by the temperature sensor, and barometric pressure sensor. I believe. when they are both hot, the relay is in a neutral state, when the ground is set, the relay will trip because thats what relays do!:tounge

so what would be making that wire hot? Im guessin its a short because its really dim with the test light.

I'm guessin you got a case of high resistance... I was gonna bring my wiring diagram home and scan it in, but I be fergots...
