Well everybody, I've decided I want to go and further my education into the field of Diesel Mechanics. Don't know where to start so I'm going to go to the local community college (SLCC) and start there.

Anyone have any advice to give or schools to go to that would be good for Diesel Mechanics?

Education, the one thing know one can take from you.
Check with you local VO-TEC schools to you maybe surprised in what you find. I took auto and diesel at the same time and was done in less then 2 years. Came out certified in both fields.
Then went to work for a Dealer diesel shop that need people to drive new trucks. So took a 20 week course and was done in 4 weeks at a vo-tec. Did all this before my 23 birthday. So check you local schools out good. Talk to the teacher face to face then talk to the students.
Wyo-Tech is $$$$ plus you have to figure in housing too if you don't live there now.

I think WyoTech,in Laramie WY has diesel.
