got my new motor!!!

well it was supposed to be a 97 motor.but according to the valve cover sticker and the HPOP it is a 95 motor.so i gotta swap timing covers.what do they use for a gasket on the timing cover?a gasket or that gray RTV?i have plenty of the gray RTV.i bought a tube of it and the rear main seal came with enough to do the hole motor including head gaskets .i painted 1 valve cover.its GM blue,i know i know its a ford.but other than pontiac blue its the only color i liked

Putting a 95' motor in a 95' truck sounds good to me. Sorry I don't know about the gaskets..

yup.do to the drain back issues with running a 96-up HPOP on a 95 motor i am swapping the whole front cover from my blown 97 motor to my new 95 motor.
