As stated on the other forum...
Well, as MUCH as I LOVED my 03 Excursion....
I got rid of it Saturday.... even with all the upgrades, I had to let it go....
but I'm a slow learner, so I got a new one !
the pricing on the new ones was too good !
Got an 05 Eddie Bauer from Prestige in Garland, Tx....
Even though they beat me up on the trade... I still was not upside down...
HORRIBLE that these things lose over 50% of their value after 2 or 3 years - but guess that's the way all cars are now days... did hear something interesting if true...
80% of people that trade are on average $6250 upside down !
Too bad none of you were looking for a great running 03 with upgrades.....
lower payments and a new one was just too good to pass up, wish me luck with it...
so far:
the change to the bench seat from the buckets in the second row may work out... the bench seems more comfortable since the buckets were not the most comfortable to us...
ride is LIGHT years ahead of what I thought was a nice riding 03 with my Rancho 9000 adjustables, lower tire pressure, etc...
performance is GOOD ! even without a tuner (yet )
probably will get one soon, though - speed is addicting
mpg on the overhead is suprising thus far...
course I'm TRYING to be a good boy and take it easy when i remember... it only had like 9 miles on it before my test drive....
Pulled some things off my 03 before the trade and will be listing them for sale as I rummage thru them....
