Will the 05/06 superduty grille fit into a 2000 Excursion?

Without modifying it NO

you can however cutt off the bottom edge, put the clips back on.
OR change out the front bumper and upper valance .

There are a few sellers on Ebay that have those new grills already cut down. Another, more expensive route to go is to swap out your bumper, headlights and grill with the 05-06 ones. Makes a 2000 X look brand new!

Makes it look brand new because that's pretty much all that they changed style-wise

New bumper, new lights, new grill, new baby

I want to know how to acetone my 05 badges, the paint wont come off no matter what

I am going to use a Q tip and see what happens!

What I can't figure out is if i just pretty much touch the paint with acetone will it come off or is there a grit of sand paper high enough to just rub the black off?

the acetone should remove the black
however,
i used blue painters tape to protect the entire truck body paint , not the cheap blue stuff at HD, go to a real piant store, its pressure sensitive painting tape.
then mask off about ten layers of news paper followed by a plastic bag
then take a Qtip and plenty of clean cotton rags. and gently rub the paint off. then rinse with clean water when done, then remove all the paper and wash the truck real good around the area just in case.
my 02 took about 45 mins. haven t done the boss yet?
