h p cross over tube

would installing a hp cross over tube be less messy if done when changing the oil? want to get one,but dont want oil mess in drive way.

no not at all, the oil in the HP oil rails is not drained when you pull the oil drain plug in the plan.

just stuff some rags down in the valley or below the plugs you pull out to install your crossover hose/tube and you can control the mess easily. Unless you are pulling the plugs at the rear of the motor the loss of oil is not a tremendous amount.

What Brandon said.

I've found that installing (say) the P-side HX threads, finger tight.. then the D-side finger tight reduces the seepage/mess too ?

It's a.. One Rag'r install.:D;):dunno
