Hard start '97

asking this for a friend. '97 Automatic, new GP and relay 256,000 miles. getting very hard to start even if its plugged in. I was thinkin the injectorsare getting weak ?

Batteries and starter make a huge difference on these things. The starter performance will degrade over time, but having said that, the injector poppets may be worn where it could be the injectors. If the valvecovers ever happen to be off, he can pull the solenoids off the injectors and measure the clearance between the armature plate and the injector body. New is around 0.004", and when it gets down to about 0.0015", the injectors need a refresh. Cheers!
