Help Needed has anyone had this problem??

ok i just put a ts 6 position chip on my truck saturday and ever since then my (SES) light has been on. also i noticed that my cruise control light dosent come on now but the cruise control still works. all knowledge would be appreciated thanks

OK, on my friends truck, we put one in and his CEL came on and the truck wouldn't start. We took it out and cleaned it off and still same thing. Long story short, it had not been burned correctly from the factory. No problem when I installed mine a few months before his though. Anyhow, I'd pull it back out, make sure everything is SUPER CLEAN and reinstall. If you still have the same thing, I'd call TS and see what they say. Let me know how it goes for ya. Make sure you don't over clean the contacts. Just get the epoxy off. The terminals should still be gold.

IIRC, they're silver, but details aint that important. Good point, however, on my buddies truck, we has to take the terminals down to the copper for it to work correctly Dunno, but I wouldn't do it if you don't have to. Try and leave as muck silver as possible. Keep us posted
