Head Studs while engine is out?

I recently posted a thread in the forum that the dealer is pulling my engine to fix the bed plate seal. Should I have tried to make a deal with mechanic or service advisor (he is cool) about putting some head studs in at the same time?

Thanks,
Scott

Thanks for the replies,

Any idea what they would charge me? I don't think they are removing the heads while they fix this oil leak.

I would talk to the tech first and feel him out to see if he is remotely interested and then offer him some cash. You might be pleasantly surprised!

I talked to the tech, and basically he said the job calls for 22 hours, but since the engine is out, 10 hours so 900.00 in labor.

I passed on that, I still have a warranty and if head gasket failure happens they will just have to fix it then. A shame though, because they know they will probably have to, and I was supplying the ARP kit.
