Headstuds on my 6.0

My truck is leaking antifreeze when I go over 20 psi of boost. Besides that it runs great, so it is time for headstuds. My local ford dealer quoted me 3000 for the head gaskets and 500 more for the studs is this a reasonable price or too high?

$100 per hour shop rate X 30 hours = $3000. Sounds high to me. It is not an easy change; the cab will have to come off the truck to get at the motor. I will bet a local diesel shop could do it for $2000.

Head gasket job by the Ford book is 14 hours.

There you go, fourteen hours. So your dealer is doubling the time billed.
