Thanks guys for the warm welcome!!!! This truck is used to patrol the interstate controlling traffic during accidents or any incidents that blocks a lane of travel, moving wrecked vehicles off the interstate and checking on broken down vehicles along side the interstate.. SO with that said I got some pics today!! This truck is equipped with whelen LED light bar with take down LED beams and Side LED beams, rear LED strobes, Front headlight LED strobes and whelen siren/mic, 800Mhz radio (main comm radio) and 400Mhz low band radio to talk to state maintenance departments, a message board and custom made push bumper with 5000k winch built inside. Air compressor with air connection from the front or rear of the truck also has (Jumper cables hook ups on the front and rear of truck without opening the hood)
whelen LED light bar
comm radios and whelen light bar and siren control box
Has a perfect spot for a cell phone or mp3 player.. but my blackberry is using it now!!
I installed my sony portable XM radio car dock ( comes in handy b/c i spend 12 hrs in this truck)
Fuel and the "diesel exhaust fluid" cap
And i put a gray towel over the arm rest area so it won't get dirty...
In the district i work we have 18 trucks and im the only one right now with a 2011 Ford truck. the others have 2006 chevy 2500, 2009 F250 and 2010 F250 and i have driven all of them (when my truck was in the shop for service) and i gotta say that im liking this ford over any of those and even over the 2004 Dodge 2500 i just turned in for this truck. Has great power
and it has "autostick" even though i haven't used it yet the truck was getting 13.2 avg MPG the whole day i think i got around 380 miles in 12hrs today... all highway miles too But it's better than the 2009 and 2010 F250 with the 6.4L diesel engine with 10 and 11 avg MPG..
But I guess it doesn't matter b/c every truck has a state gas card to get fuel at any gas station or at maintenance shops
