Welcome Mark. Good looking truck and trailer you have there.
We love camping in the Hill Country.

Thanks WD40.
The coach is a 2008 Jayco 291RLTS. We love it!! We try to get out at least once a month. Canyon Lake this weekend!
We were up sort of in your neck of the woods over Spring Break. We spent a week at Beavers Bend, Ok. Beautiful country up there. We did venture over into Ark on a day trip. Stumbled on to Queen Whilhamina (sp?) SP. WOW!! That was very nice!

Let us know when your down this way sometime...we can get a cold one or something.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Sounds like you speak from experience. :)

I haven't heard that about the area, but I will sure watch it.

BTW - I like your plug mod.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark -

Im familar w/ the area...a few years ago i used to
motorcycle over to gruene for lunch on saturdays or sundays.

west houston thru belleville (breakfast at newmans bakery)
then into austin via la grange & bastrop state park,
then into wimberly via dripping springs & drift wood...
from wimberly we'd run 'cross the devils backbone thru
canyon lake and into gruene....have lunch and then turn
it around for the "run" home.

if we were "thirsty" we'd stop off at carlos & charlie
or the oasis.

it made for a nice 450mi back road motorcyclin' "day"

that "see our damm judge" used to be on a billboard as
you entered into canyon lake from the FM32 (devils backbone)
side....luckily i never had 1st hand knowledge of its
accuracy ;)

I did see that sign you mentioned. Too funny!! Of all the times I've been thru there, I never noticed it before. And, sure enough the local "welcoming committee" was there writing an invitation for some lucky guy.

I had forgoten how pretty that lake area is.
