help needed

97 f350 ps.truck speedometer and mile odometer shutting off. my mph needle goes straight to 0. and the mile odometer is blank. truck throws od. code and starts shifting very hard and erratic.
replaced speed sensor in rear diff. nothing.
any ideas?????

I think you're on the right track, actually...
I'd be looking for a break or chafe in the wires leading from the pig sensor..
maybe even squish the female terminals in the connector down a bit?

iam not sure what the pig sensor is or where it is located. maybe in the dash behind the speedometer??

I think you have to understand that he is talking about the same sensor that you already replaced. Some people call the rear differential "pumkin" a "pig".
Not sure where this comes from, but just remember both of you are talking about the same thing. Jl is saying to check the wires at the sensor you changed and make sure that they are in good shape also. Good luck
