I got in my truck this morning and it would not start.......
If the truck is low on oil a little maybe a quart (or 2) would it prevent the truck from starting.
I have a small leak and have not checked the oil since changed (almost 5,000) and the leak developed at about 2500 miles ago.
Just need a quick answer because I had to drive the wife's car to work
I have to go get my truck running quickly-mad

Did the engine crank or just go click click click?

How old are the batteries?

Headlights bright?

Hear the fuel pump when the key is turned to start?

Not enough voltage to the glow plug relay/plugs,glow plug relay/plugs bad/going bad,low quality fuel not firing up.

Fuel filter restricted, fuel pickup screen restricted, not enough fuel pressure,HPOP not up to par?

Anyone else?

Did it throw any codes? How old are the batterys? If they are not up to snuff it will crank but no start because the pcm does not have enough voltage. Get some jumper cables on it and let it charge a while(10 min) and see if it starts. If so check the alternator for proper operation......If that is ok.....replace BOTH batteries.

I believe the voltage charging limit should be 14.4 volts with the engine running at the batteries.

I purchased a set of Kirklands from Costco that include a 36 month 100% replacement warranty then after 36 months it's pro rated to 60 months.

If you disco the batteries to have them load tested Negative off first,Negative on last.(at least thats how I've done it)

14.1v or 14.2v on both sides so I am going to assume that I need batteries.
I did get the truck running after about 10 min. of charging she fired right up:D
Question though I broke the bolt off of the pass. side negative battery cable (when installing my intake)
and I cannot seem to find one on powerstrokeshop.com
How much are we talkin here for the cable?
