How much should it cost for a vehicle move of about 300 miles? A F150 we might be trading our F150 in on is down in the valley. The local dealer told me it should be about $250 and not over $300(last rate they had). Next day they call me back and say that the car hauler quoted them $495. Have rates went up this much in the last few months? I can go get it and drive it home for $495. $300 I would pay but not $495 as that is $1.65 a mile for ONE little truck. $1.00 a mile is ridiculous considering they will have six or seven other rigs on board but I can't go get it for $300 as I would have to drive 600 miles. They will have to go out of route about 10 miles and pick it up and then drop it off at dealer but it seems steep.

Crumm, I have no experience moving vehicles in Alaska.

I imagine that in the summer time its no diff. than down in the lower 48.

I think your dealer is pretty much on que at around 300.00, I would be willing to go at least 350.00.

If you can get me the zips on both locations, I could run a test dispatch and see if I can get some action on it at 300.00
