I'm curious about the weight difference between our trucks, '06/'02 generally. With a 380# sleeper, 350#-plus loaded bedbox, full tank and my fat butt onboard....here's my weightslip:

In a couple of weeks the sleeper comes off, I'm switching to a below-the-rails bedbox, and my 200# 5er hitch goes in. Just wondering what makes your truck/the '06 heavier.

I thought I had the heaviest stock F-350 PSD CC 4x4 LongBed dually.:dunno

Okay, Pete. Let's say I remove my sleeper (-380 lbs), my below the rail box will be loaded with the same tools, chains, strap, jacks, RV gear....remaining between 350 and 400 lbs, I add my RBW Li'l Rocker 15K at 200# including rail kit, and add an 85# bull bar & grill guard and 12K Warn at 138 lbs. That theoretically will increase the weight of my truck to 8543#.

What have you got in that bedbox that makes it exceed 900 lbs? I've got two loaded toolboxes, camper jacks, 22'x7/16" towchain, two factory and one bottle jack, hitch stingers from 1-7/8" thru 2-5/16" w/shank and 12K springbars, clusterhook ratchet straps, triangles, extinguisher, assorted tools that won't fit in the toolboxes, etc.

So....where's the extra weight in the later model trucks?

EDIT: Henh-henh....leather, badges and a moonroof shouldn't add that much weight.

Okey-dokey and thanks....I can't fit anything else in my bedbox....if I don't organize what I have in there right, I can't get the lid to close. I'll find some other way to recapture the "heaviest truck" title though.:D
