No secrets here bud.I have been talking about doing the swap for about 3 years now.Just recently got the balls to go ahead and do it.Im getting sick of throwing my hard earned $$$ at the powerstrokes and getting no where.I wanted to do it at first for the "being different factor"it was gonna go in the truck stock with minor mods,but things are getting out of control.Way out of control.

common rail isnt bulletproof like you think, those injectors are more finiky than ours.

also, a mechanical pump cummins will need a new injection pump with every oil change.

anyone ever think about building a cat 3408?

You must be thinking of the 24 valve(VP44 pump)yea them pumps do go bad an awful lot,but the 12V P pump(P7100) are great.
