Welcome to Super Duty Diesel Wrighjj. I would recommend a set of gauges as the first mod to your truck. Get at least an EGT gauge and a boost gauge to monitor the basic engine functions. I have Auto Meter Sport Comp gauges and others here have Issopro gauges.

Dave :)

Welcome from another newbie. Do what I've been doing sitting back, -popcorn and reading here. Enjoy. Got any pics of your truck?

Alaska... and headed back to Wisconsin!
Goodies

Well last week I order the factory SS 5" Oval step tubes and a bug shield...
I figure this week will be exhaust.

I have looked long and hard at the Banks 4" & 5" monster, but I haven't found a dealer up here just yet. They wanted $465 for frieght alone... for that I think I will keep looking or do something else. I see alot of members are runnin MBRP. Any pro's and con's on that??? My cousin is running the 4" Banks in his 99 7.3 PSD, it sounds good... but a little quiet for me.

My last truck, 03 Dodge 2500 Crew Hemi, I switched out the stock muffler to run an Aero Turbine combined with a Volant Cool air intake. Using the stock pipes it was too LOUD, but boy did it have a nice rumble.

It just so happens that my buddy did the same thing to his Cummins, same truck, and I have to say it sounds better then the Banks my cousins runs!

I'll be making at trip back down to central Wis in the next couple months and wanted to take advantage of any additional performance/MPG during that road trip. :sweet

No pictures right at the moment... I'm out at work and they all happen to be at the house. I will post one mid next week.

I guess I just have too many options....

So in the next few weeks it will be exhaust, intake, maybe ram air, and for sure the gauges!
so lets build this PSD!

Wrighjj, I would keep my money on the intake, maybe ram air,
They say our 6.0 stock is about as good as you can get.
On gages I like the BD XMonitor, you can now get one and keep your door post handle. I think that you will like that 6.0. Welcome Jeff
