Hello all Ive been lurking for a bit and was sent here from a buddy of mine that owns a 2001 7.3 F250. I have been searching around for a PS for quite a while now.

The way this came around is I tow a 18ft dual axle car hauler with a CJ7 to the mountains here in Colorado. I recently finshed this Project of a Jeep and in september had the oppertunity to go to Moab. Well....I owned a Nissan Titan at the time...it did great except it GUZZLED the gas through the passes. SO I decided that after watching my buddy "lose" me to 18wheelers and many fill ups at the pump...I needed a Diesel. I really liked the F250 power stroke and Dave enlightened me to many of the things to look for in one....so I came across this one..Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.comand now Im awaiting the bank to hear if Im accepted for the loan.

1 question that I figured out today is that this baby is chipped...after looking at the dash in the photos the is a single knob that has several settings. the place I bought it from is a broker that had no idea about the chip as did I until Im cruising down the HWY and I turn the knob to the right as I change lanes to pass.......BLACK SMOKE and WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE that SUNOVA gun.......was Unbeliveable....
NOW: anyone have a clue as to what chip this is....Until I get the dash apart I wont be able to know, but some of you might......Thanks for the insight!;tu

Welcome to SuperDutyDiesel, cjchamp. I don't have any idea of which chip or tuner you have without looking to see what it is. That is a very nice truck and it has only 65,000 miles on it. Looks like a good deal for the truck. That will certainly pull your Jeep and trailer over any mountains.

That is a really nice truck apparently the prvious owner never drove it. See if you can have the dealer contact the previous owner and give him yer number so you can talk to them. Most dealers will do that for you and you might make a new friend.

Welcome to SDD.....

DONT take the dash apart looking for a chip, you wont find it. The knob in the dash is just a remote lead from the chip which is located ON the PCM board which is located behind the parking brake pedal.

Welcome to SSD.com, Come on back often. Nice looking truck, now just be sure you have a good sat of gages on the truck before you start pulling long hills with the chip.
