My backup lights do not come on. All fuses are good and I have changed the bulbs, so I suspect the problem is a bad switch in the transmission. Work around time!

Does someone have a picture or a good description of where the wires come off the transmission that control the backup lights? I want to put an in-cab switch that will tie into one of those wires to open/close the circuit.

:thanks

Answer

My son, HorseHauler on this site, figured out where the switch was on the transmission. Now the reverse light work like a charm. See the attached picture. Make sure you enlarge it the proper amount so you can read the labels. To get more detail, you can enlarge it even more.
