hyd clutch

anybody have trouble with the hyd clutch clave and master cylinder in their obs? mine went out and I'm wondering if I should try to find an aftermarket heavy duty one or just get a napa or ford stock one. I don't think its been replaced in 220k. need to see if anyone has run across this and what their advise is. thanks Lee

What year OBS is it? The early ones used a smaller bore system that used to have prroblems with cracking slave cylinders (I went through 3 slaves!). After switching to the later, larger bore setup (All you can get now), I've had zero problems (many years ago too). If you have the early system and want to change it out to the later, you need to get the master, slave, and line (line comes out of the master differently on each type). Cheers!

Ok thanks thats kinda what I was thinking. so is a napa one good or should I go with the ford one?

They both should be fine (I'd go with the least expensive). Cheers!
